Irap/PRP/Stem Cells

Over the past few years, we have found huge success using a newer group of drugs known as “biologicals”. These involve taking blood samples from the injured horse, processing them appropriately, and then injecting the resulting sample back into the horse. These injections may be directly into a joint, or into a tendon/ligament. This is an exciting area of development in veterinary medicine, and the vets at Blaircourt constantly stay up-to-date with new treatment protocols from both in the UK as well as internationally.
