Our 3-metre digital gastroscope is used for giving us a detailed picture of the lining of the horse’s stomach and the proximal part of the small bowel. This procedure is vital in diagnosing the common syndrome of gastric ulceration. Such investment has enabled us to quickly rule out this syndrome as a possible cause of recurrent colic, weight loss, poor performance or even bucking in some horses. For more information and a risk assessment on your own horse, please see www.equinegastriculcers.co.uk
